Big Sky Championship

The kids and I took a mini road trip up to Idaho State University to watch Weber State fight for the Big Sky Championship title in Women's Soccer.  It was pretty much the perfect weather for watching a soccer game and we had a ton of fun with our family that lives nearby that came to help us cheer on the Wildcats.  It was a good thing they came too, because ISU had a TON of fans.

Kylee took this picture of herself with my camera.  It cracks me up.

He sees Brecken.  He loves watching her and cheers for her the whole game, when he's not running up and down the stairs or sliding down the rail.  (UGH!)

We had ISU beat...1-0, when with just minutes left they scored on a rebound and tied it up.  It was so sad.
Then after 2 overtimes, we went to a shoot out.  It made me miss hockey so much.  I am thankful for something to cheer for though.
Brecken fueling up for her penalty kick shot in the shoot out.
I feel bad for goalies in shoot outs.  What a tough spot to be in.

Brecken vs. the Goalie.  Brecken WON.  :)

Sadly, our Goalie let all 5 goals in and one of our players hit the post, so ISU won the shoot out and the game.  It was heartbreaking, but so fun to watch.  What an exciting season and considering the fact that 95% of WSU's players are freshmen, I have no doubt that they will just get better and better.
